Our Bakers Spice Rub is an all purpose spice rub. It’s delicious on any grilled meat, slow cooker or oven baked dishes, in soups, on tofu, potatoes, casseroles & sauces. Options are endless.
Sometimes when I make this rub, if I have a store purchased spice rub on hand, I will toss a little into my Bakers Spice Rub to crazy it up a bit.
Here is our recipe.
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 2 tsp rock salt with chili flakes (without flakes is fine)
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp old bay seasoning (omit if you do not have)
- Toss all spices into a bowl and stir.
- Store in ziplock and/or sealed type container when not using.
- Should last 6-12 months.
- Makes about 1 cup.
