Alberta Burger
Recipe type: Burgers, Lunch, BBQ, Grilling, Dinner
 
Ingredients
  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • ½ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion, minced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked is good too)
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Pinch of salt & pepper
  • Pita or buns
Instructions
  1. ADD all ingredients in a bowl and combine until just mixed. Shape into oval patties, you should get approximately 6-8 patties.
  2. ON a heated grill cook approximately 5 minutes per side on medium high heat. Serve in a pita with your favourite fixin's.
Notes
To make Minted Yogurt Sauce: In a bowl mix together ½ cup diced tomatoes (seeded), ½ cup diced cucumber (seeded), ½ cup plain greek yogurt, 2 tbsp fresh mint (chopped), 1 garlic clove (minced) and a pinch of salt.
