Alberta Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion minced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika smoked is good too
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Pinch of salt & pepper
  • Pita or buns

Instructions

  • ADD all ingredients in a bowl and combine until just mixed. Shape into oval patties, you should get approximately 6-8 patties.
  • ON a heated grill cook approximately 5 minutes per side on medium high heat. Serve in a pita with your favourite fixin's.

Notes

To make Minted Yogurt Sauce: In a bowl mix together 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (seeded), 1/2 cup diced cucumber (seeded), 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt, 2 tbsp fresh mint (chopped), 1 garlic clove (minced) and a pinch of salt.
