In a bowl sift together flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon and salt.
In a large bowl mix your butter and sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients and mix well until combined. Divide dough in half, shape into a disc, wrap each piece in plastic wrap and chill for 30-60 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On a floured surface roll out dough to at least 1/8 inch thickness. Cut out your Spooky shapes and lay onto parchment lined baking sheet. You can re-roll the dough scraps 1-2 times before it will become over worked.
Bake in oven until firm approximately 8-10 minutes. Let sit in pan a few minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once cooled decorate with your favourite icing & sprinkles.
