Orange Waffles

  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp orange zest
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • maple syrup
  • whipping cream whipped


  • Preheat waffle maker.
  • In a bowl whisk together eggs, milk, sour cream, butter, vanilla, orange zest and orange juice. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, pinch of salt and brown sugar. Add wet ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Turn waffle maker to your desired setting (we use medium) and pour in about 1 cup of the batter per batch spreading evenly all over the waffle maker. Cook until done.
  • Using a spatula remove waffles and serve immediately. Or keep in oven on low temp until ready to serve.
