Melt butter in pan over medium low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until they are completely melted.
Pour in your vanilla and food colouring, stirring until combined.
Remove from heat and add rice krispie cereal. Stir until combined.
Pour into a dish. If you try to form the pumpkins while still hot it won't work. You need to let the rice krispie mixture cool down a little.
Once cooled (not completely) start forming balls and place on platter. Once all your balls are formed, go back to first pumpkin ball and shape into a pumpkin. As they cool they become easier to work with. Add your green jelly bean stem.
Place in refrigerator to firm up for about 20 minutes and serve. Or transfer to a container to store until ready to serve.
