Hailey is the lemonade maker in our family and as such this is Hailey’s Lemonade. Served with a lemon wedge and mint sprig, this is a delish drink on a hot summer day. Also perfect for a lemonade stand.
- 2 cups water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 4-6 large lemons
- Give each lemon a roll/press to help release the juices. Half and juice them.
- Combine water & sugar in saucepan bringing to a boil over high heat. Stir until sugar is disolved. This is a simple syrup.
- Remove syrup from heat and stir in lemon juice. Set aside to cool. This is your lemonade syrup and it can be stored in the fridge (covered container) for up to one week.
- To make Hailey's Lemonade: in a glass add as much ice as you like, 1/4 cup of the lemonade syrup and fill with water or club soda.
