Sangria
Sangria is a wine-based punch that is classically made with red wine, brandy, chopped fruit, sugar and sometimes soda water or Prosecco. It’s popularity has grown over the years as has the variety of sangria available.
- Classic Spanish Sangria: The most common type of sangria, made with red wine, brandy, chopped fruit (usually oranges, apples, and peaches), sugar and sparkling water.
- White Sangria: This is a lighter and more refreshing version of sangria, made with white wine, white wine vinegar, chopped fruit (usually peaches, nectarines, and berries), and sometimes sparkling water.
- Sparkling Sangria: This is a festive and bubbly version of sangria, made with sparkling wine, chopped fruit (berries and citrus), and sometimes a liqueur like Cointreau or Grand Marnier.
- Tropical Sangria: Exotic sangria features tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, and passion fruit, and sometimes a tropical liqueur like Malibu or Bacardi.
